Recent studies indicate an increasing trend of shrinking class sizes for year 11/12 subjects required for a smooth pathway to university study, with many remote schools cutting some subjects all together.

Many students have had to take these subjects remotely or switch to private schools able to sustain smaller class sizes. Without the support of peers these more complex subjects can be difficult to navigate.

A huge congratulations to one of the amazing mums we have the privilege of working with, Jodie, on completing HYROX! For those who haven't heard of it, HYROX is a global fitness race that combines 8 x 1 km runs with 8 functional workout stations, including sled pushes, rowing, burpee broad jumps, lunges and wall balls. It tests strength, endurance, resilience and mental toughness, making it one of the most challenging fitness events in the world.

Crossing that finish line is an incredible achievement that reflects months of commitment, discipline and perseverance.At Full Spectrum Education, we love celebrating the successes of our families, both inside and outside of education. We encourage parents of school age students we support to get involved in their children's learning. Seeing their parents engaged is often a big motivator for a student that is otherwise struggling to find motivation.

Some very insightful data to reflect on as teachers as we head into Term 1 of 2026

A key difference at Full Spectrum is our educators are able to spend a focused 2 hours a week building a rapport with each student, something that is far more difficult in a busy classroom.

An international survey published last year found 58 percent of Australian principals say they have a shortage of teachers in their school.
